The Triumph of Taste

There are a whole bunch of these stores in midtown Manhattan. I don't know why - I never see anyone actually buying anything in them, and they always seem to have the tackiest stuff in their windows. The Neptune statue reminds me of the one Robert De Niro gave to Billy Crystal at the end of Analyze This.

It's an assault on the eyes but makes for a great image. Liking your NY street shots very much.
 
This is quite evocative of memorable visits to Manhattan. I must visit again some day.
 
there used to be a furniture store where i lived that would have loved to sell statues like this.
they sold planes and trucks and cars made of old #10 tin cans, and crazy "flower" / faux tiffany lamps
great stuff!
 
And they've been there for years..WC Fields had it right..there's a sucker born every minute
