The Tree

This is a second attempt at a shot i posted a long time ago. I liked the original taken with a 645 - but i wanted to get it square.

very interesting how you captured the light on the tree and it's base. sometimes this type of image just looks confusing and very beign. but the way you have angled it and croped it works very well.

I went back to your gallery and see this isn't the first time you have photographed this tree. This one is much better.

Thanks, i spent a lot of time (and paper!) on this print last night. This was taken almost exactly a year after the original shot - the tree is looking a bit deader now!

This is a good example of how a print can reach out and grab you, as the branches appear to be doing so.
