Part of my Argust 10th expedition - portions of this building date back to 1725, with a major expansion in 1856. Flour was made here until 1972 when a flood messed things up. It has been revitalized as offices and apartments.
The thumbnail attracted me, having a pleasing look in terms of colours. Sometimes those colour combos and the scene itself delivers less at full size but not here. Everything looks right and fits together beautifully.
If there was a guidebook to Pottstown for tourists, this shot should be in it.
Wow! Thanks for the kind words. I admit to fairly low expectations on these Argus Day excursions, but out of the 25 shots, this one definitely jumped out at me in a first look through the results. I knew when I took it that it was better lighting and a cleaner composition than some earlier shots that day, but it's nice when something really works.
