Good street scene. One reflecting an aspect of any large, old city. We are losing our inner city structure all over Britain and one day we will live to regret it. I know this is a cliche for all street scenes but this one has to be in B&W to look right.
 
Thank you pentaxuser for your comment but to me this scene is more than a nostalgic street scene. The "rebel's rest " certainly implied a good pint of guinness but also a warm welcome in the arms of his beloved wife... the consequences of which can be seen next to the woman..and the little girl seems to have taken after her father. She does look like a rebellious little child, doesn't she?
 
So many opportunities in Belfast ... Not always pleasant. Intense.
