Thank you Bertus, DWThomas, and jovo. I used f/8 jovo. For moonlight work it seems to be the best f-stop for depth of field, avoiding vignetting, and best sharpness while leaving enough light for a reasonable exposure. The Acros works great in this respect. Again, thank you all.
Beautiful natural use of the medium. Nice to see that here. A minor point, however? Perhaps just a tad over-sharpened versus the realities of an eventual print? Or maybe it's just my large-pixel monitor. Other than that, just wonderful to look at and enjoy.

Thank you Ken. I believe you are right. The scan was rather soft and I seem to have gone too far here. I appreciate the comment and the kind words. I'm looking forward to printing this one.
I know nothing of scanners but as every pic here has had to be scanned then I try to educate myself when an issue comes up. Does over-sharpening lead to a kind of very light-grey almost mackie lines around the darker rocks? If not then what do I look for to tell me that over-sharpening has taken place? Thanks

I believe Ken's comments above were related to how an analog print would compare to my uploaded file. The above was a scan of the original neg and cleaned up a bit. I applied perhaps too much sharpening to render what the expected outcome from a traditional print. Oversharpening tends to produce a shrill looking image with artifacts (as you suggest) around high contrast borders. Some artifacts are visible in the "lunar light path" in the image as well, an almost glistening effect. In hindsight I did overdo it. The image is slightly "uncomfortable" . Part of the problem is my inexpensive scanner, which is o.k. for proofing, but not for printing if I chose to upload to a service bureau for printing. We'll see how it comes out of the sink this winter.
