I would have set the tripod about where the closest bit of scrubby bush is to get more sky and shed, leaving out the boulder and shingle. And I would have been wrong. This is wonderful just as it is.
A couple hours later - Maybe add a bit of forward movement on top and left side.
8 hours later - put the tripod next to the boulder and take the top-right 1/3 of this photo. That sky is just fantastic!
'Tis a small thing' no pun, but did you do this shot with only the building in focus?
What you have here is very good, but, I must wonder, as the foreground might be a bit 'busy' and the out of focus boulder and tree in a softer depth of field would put the viewers eye on the prime subject, as they lead the eye up the slope, to the house?
I believe this would take this from a view of the beach and water, etc and make it more about the house and wonferful sky.
