My Mom had been retired from nursing some years but still retained that care attitude, especially with and for my Dad. I can't recall what she was doing but it looked like a good time for the camera.

Col., I hope you jot a note here & there on how to shoot family. Your family shots punch harder then most I've seen, including pros. I'd gladly read the book.

Silver, those photos are what anyone could do. You just need a quick mind of understanding what's going on around you and an even quicker "trigger finger" as moods and moments quickly change. Also, one needs to be sensitive to the environment and of the people involved. Thanks for the compliments-most appreciated. I've always enjoyed shooting family be it mine or someone elses. I really got into the photo essay I did some years back on the Mennonite families about 75 miles from here. I posted some of them in the gallery.

Deng! like a hammer your images coming in. Old memories; 15 years ago I tried to shave my Dad likewise. difficult on more then one level. Thanks !! for sharing.

Interesting that you mentioned that. I have a picture/negative of my younger brother who was shaving my Dad in the kitchen the last coupe weeks of his life. He had him sit in a chair facing the sink where there was a widow and plenty of light coming in. I had forgotten about that until you mentioned shaving. It's good to capture life's many changing moments, situations and emotions.
