Thanks, all. Your kind words are much appreciated.I'll have to check out Grigorescu's work. I'm always looking for inspiration from 19th century painters.We waited two months for the right moment for this shot, one where my daughter and I were both available AND the time of day was right AND the clouds were right.
 
I could imagine Aperture magazine using this.
 
Yeah, has a kind of surreal quality to it. As if the background and sky were a painted backdrop. Very interesting, indeed!
