I love the shot, but I would have made it a little more semetrical and would not have cut off the window. The shoe is a great part of the photo. I have found with my Hassey it isn't easy to check everything on the ground glass. I seem to see it better on my LF cameras.
I find my eyes slightly swimming when looking at the steps and the abruptly ending handrail. They seem to blend into the background too much.
I wonder if a shot directly in front of the steps looking up to the handrail on top with the all important boot might have been better. It cuts out the distracting background and isolates the boot and steps.
Definitely a shot not to miss. If I had been shooting (which of course I wasn't so feel free to ignore me), I think I would have concentrated on the boot a bit more. Perhaps getting in closer to show just the bottom right window, the steps and the boot with a bit more space around it. (I'd have probably moved the boot if it hadn't been in just the right place too, but that's just me too.)
