The Langdale Pikes from Loughrigg Fell.

Taken around December '96. Almost crippled myself carrying my RB67 outfit (and tripod) up the minor height of Loughrigg Fell in the Lake District. The image is as accurate a scan of the original as I can make it, although the temptation to tweak it in PS was quite strong (then to post on DPUG), on reflection, I like the pastel shades of the original

Nice... (to see some color around here).
I do like it a bit better without the sharp trees in foreground. (came up on my computer with bottom cropped before I scrolled down.

looks like a little color shift in the sky but WOW. love that shot

Yes, I thought about cropping the foreground trees but (obviously) thought better of it. I'm thinking now that the colour shift in the sky might be due to a mauve grad rather than an ND. I do remember using one quite extensively back then. Trouble is, I can't bloody remember!

I'm waiting for a Hobbit to walk by. Just lovely.

Beautiful! I want to be there and just inhale the atmosphere.
