The Hudson Looking North

Taken May 31st from the Bear Mountain Bridge. I'd stopped at several sites on the way home from work and none was quite right until I came to this. The sky was amazing. (I kept expecting to be hassled about photographing from the bridge, but no one said a thing. I was there about 20 minutes.)

Congratulations! Well done....

I recognized the location immediately without reading the description. A few years back, I took some pictures from that exact spot. Sadly, without your excellent results. Wonderful sky.

You say it is the Hudson looking North. To me this is the Hudson looking good...mighty good indeed.

I had no idea my neighbor state to the north could look so nice.
The clouds are so 3-dimensional here and just pop right out of the image.

The Hudson River was so picturesque that an entire school of painting grew up around it. Today much of it is built-up and run-down but as John illustrates, there are still areas that are quite beautiful.
