The color has me looking like a cow at a new gate. 'More subtle & warm than a sepia - which has been a fav for me. Unlike a lith, it doesn't seem to rob detail from the image. I like that alot.
@Andrew O'Neill
Thanks Andrew, still having problems keeping the brown (fades over a couple of days), narrowed it down to the sensatiser, tried everything else. Need to get some fresh ingredients and see if I can fix it. Think it may be the Tartaric acid.
Lot to learn, always harder when you use a film negative and mix your own ingredients, the upshot is you get a better understanding of how it all works.
@HiHoSilver The tonal range you can get is incredible Mr Silver, just by the amount of gold you use and the process. As I mentioned to Andrew still having a few issues that I will sort out.
I did one of the old petrol bowser in VDB which is more sepia, will post it up soon.
I used a red filter with this one to get more contrast, the trade off is its less sharp it other wise would be....edit, come to think of it was windy, which would of been why its not so sharp....Doh!.
