I have made a fake framing to make it look a little more true...

It is REALLY difficult to get the right colours on these, but here it goes..

Marianne Jelved is the Danish Minister of Culture - I had the chance to make her a portrait, so until now I hav emade three versions..

The minister belongs to a party in the middle.. leaning towards the right (which is blue here in Denmark).. - hence these colours - with added warmth on her clothes...

I made a thread about the whole process - you can read the background there if you're are interested..

I just mailed the Ministry of Culture to tell they are done... I am now awaiting a reply....

I'm with Patrick here, this is my favorite, best expression and I prefer the lighter treatment. You do move in high places!

I too prefer this one and am currently watching Borgen, presumably the first season. The best part is that it's in Danish with sub titles, so we can sometimes get references from the actors speech, something impossible with dubbing. Mick.
 
I love the colouring here, but I love the portrait pose of #3 more. It would have been very interesting to see #3 but with these colours.

Bill: what is it you doen't understand?I think in the States it is called "Secretary of something..." Here it is a ministerium..So if in the states it would probably be something like "United States Secretary of Culture".. (which in Denmark is both Culture and sports...)But I dont think it is a thing in the States (we've had it for 50+years..)
