Penrhyn Cottage atop the cliffs of Strumble Head, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It was fun clinging on to the steep, rocky cliff, trying to protect the camera from the force 8 gale in the low light of pre-dawn. I only had one casualty, a Lee Filters adaptor ring that I watched bounce down into the sea.
I really like the composition and mood, but I wish it were brighter.. a tad underexposed maybe? Pan50 at f16 at night is a tough one. Even in a full moonlit night I need 100 asa at f8 for 15 minutes. I've gone back to Ilfosol-S recently, I've had mostly good results with it.. short shelf life though it seems.
Victor, the print's actually a fair bit lighter than it appears here. I didn't really notice how dark the scan was until after I'd posted! You're quite right, it looks too dark here. I took several versions of this shot from under-exposed to over-exposed and this one was about right the for mood I was after, I just messed up the scan.
