I love these skies. They are usually accompanied by great light as shown here.
Often the area of sky opposite is the complete opposite - blue sky with white clouds.

Thank you all for your comments. At first I thought this was a bit boring, it was only once I scanned it and used it as a desktop that I began to appreciate it.

naeroscatu, the CV 40mm Nokton is a superb lens, it is probably the sharpest I have.
