The Canal, Above Pennyfield Lock

I am enjoying these. Being from the UK, canals were a major part of history, and are now mostly recreational. In California we have a few 'canals' but they are mostly used to moving water these days. I used to live in Reading (UK) which was one end of the Kennet and Avon canal https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kennet_and_Avon_Canal

I'm really liking the darker midtones and shadows here....just very lush and deep.

@Colin Corneau I thought it gave a certain sense of the ominous to the image - a bit of a portent of a future to come.
