Nice shot, was there last November. When was this taken?

Thanks for the kind words. This photo was taken in May of 1995. This is part of series (including "Keyhole" which was just uploaded as well) that were only available as conventional prints for a very short time. I have to prepare these with Bill Nordstrom of Laser Light Photographics for release in digital print form coming off his big Chromira printer. Rich

Hi Rich, another great image, which I am coming to expect from you. I really love the way you have captured the late afternoon light on the canyon. If you hadn't said so, I would not have thought that this was an image from a 35mm camera.

Hi Robert,

Thanks again for the kind words. Unfortunately at least at the time of year that I was in Bryce Canyon there is no way of capturing a true sunset, only late afternoon lighting. However, shooting from the Amphitheater rim with good light, a good tripod, Fujichrome Velvia 50, a Leica Camera and a 70-210 Leica (Minolta made to Leica specs) lens allows for ideal composition as well as extremely sharp, wonderfully lit and colored image. Rich
