Testing X-700 MD Zoom 35-70mm f3.5

I was out testing my 'gift' Minolta X-700 with the MD Zoom 35-70mm f3.5 lens as I noticed some'Play' in the lens barrel and the chrome rear mounting ring. On processing all the 'infinity' shots were out of focus -- since found 'infinity' is actually 30 feet so will set that 'manually' in future.

Seems sharp and contrasty for a zoom lens; I'm impressed.

Yes -- that particular Minolta Zoom IS very sharp and was re-named Leitz Vario-Elmar on a Leica camera.
