Temporary Island

Despite the fallen trees strewn on the beach at Big Talbot Island, there were attractions in the ocean as well. This little patch of sand was submerged again after an hour and a half.

Beautiful minimalist photograph. Should make a very nice print, John!

Thanks, Thomas. I cannot wait to set up a new darkroom, but it'll be a few more months is seems....aaarrrrrrrrrgggg!!

Jovo I'm intrigued by the line of the horizion. I'm just wondering if it has been inserted by some computor programme as it looks very unreal to me. Otherwise I find your photo excellent as are all your photos posted here.

Vincent, thanks for you comment. No, the black line is entirely natural. One of Bill Schwab's photographs had that too IIRC, and he had done nothing to create it. Thanks, jp. BTW, my photoshop skills are on the level of the holder of a McJob....Couldn't insert a line like that for even a lot of money.

What Thomas said originally... before the irrelevant comments, is exactly right. It is a gorgeous image with one subject, the sand above the water. This WILL be a lovely print.
