Very nice! We didn't do a Minnesota vacation this year but the SHT is among our most hallowed spots. From Two Harbors to Grand Marais you can't go wrong.
Shutter, I took the pleasure time to walk through your gallery & that was time very well spent. I notice you use an ND for quite a few shots. I don't know if the filtration brings more than just a reachable exposure & motion blur for water? Is the pyro more the look/feel of the shadow brilliance? It seems a consistent appearance to your lower key shots - and most satisfying.
@HiHoSilver The ND is for the motion of the water for sure, also adds another element in controlling the light IMO.
The Pyrocat also effects the light. In low light settings is where it works best. I print dark as you may have noticed so the p-cat does control the light as far as giving it a more even light...again...IMO.
