Almost menacing quality to this, Daniel. Great contrast and printing as always. I'm a big fan of your work.

I agree with Thomas - there is a real 'edgy' feel to these branches. I love the shapes and the rich dark tones too.

Only one slight niggle though - my eye keeps getting pulled to the small light area (branch?) on the ground in the foreground.

Wonderful work as usual, your work is a constant inspiration.

Cheers,
Gavin

Very nice Daniel.

Eagle Creek owes you a plaque

Beautiful Dan! You captured the mood perfectly.

the square format and convex branches makes for a tight well constructed composition and the tonal presentation creates great mystery and tension ... very nice Daniel ....

Thank you for the comments. I get a bit of the "willies" when I walk through this part of the woods because the branches look like they could reach down to snatch you up (reminds me of the forest scene in "The Wizard of Oz"). What caught my attention was the swirling appearance of the limbs, and the slightly claustrophobic sensation I felt.

Gavin, the small bright splotches are remnants of snow- I hadn't notice the them on the print before. Perhaps some slight spotting would bring them down. Thanks for pointing them out.

All the best,
Daniel
