would vignetting corners /side keep the eye from being distracted by the right side? burn/darken?

Interesting. Or maybe a little dodging in that deep shadow to more match the other shadows? I never would have thought of either of these! Frankly, I had only thought of details in the cactus skin. The whole thing is such a tangled mess I never looked at the composition that closely. This is definitely why comments in the critique gallery are so helpful and their lack so frustrating. Thank you!
