I really like the image. the dmax can be alot more with VDB. Rapid fix is too acidic for VDB's (it can eat the image right off the paper), I mix up my own sodium thiosulphate. Also, VDB's really require 2 coats of sensitizer to get good dmax. Paper doesn't need sizing. I also use a platinum or gold toner before fixing, for archivability but also further dmax. The density range (DR) of your negative is not adequate for Vandyke. You have to develop for > log 2.0 DR. Unfortunately Vandyke doesn't have any contrast control system so you won't be able to print your negatives with low DR.
