Swan by the River

tubeblue: can I force a 'comment'? I am taking a chance here: Is this is in the standard gallery? I cannot tell!

When I saw the thumbnail print I was at first exited ... but then, with the full view, became a bit dismayed with the soft background.

If ALL were sharp (f22 or beyond) this would have been a true winner. But, alas, from David Lyga now all you get is the rant of a whiner! - David Lyga

Thanks for the comment David. I apologize for the soft background. I am drawn to photography, I believe, as I am not a phsycho analyst, for the art aspect that it contains. Opposed to creating something artistic ...painting...sculpture, photography is finding something visually stimulating and through the use of a camera capturing it. I have been taking photos for years and lots of them. This photo is an example of seeing and reacting ..as it visually stimulated me at the moment.. and attempting to capture it in an artful manner. The form of the swan with its curved neck ..the fire like background lit up from a setting sun .. to me makes an interesting photograph.
But as we know all art and photography is subjective. What is interesting and stimulating to me may be average and mundane to you. Thanks for the commentary.
