What makes it difficult, Tom? Development looks tricky, for sure. But I like the results. There's something primal and raw about it that I really like.
Thanks, Guillaume and Thomas. I'm thinking this film may be better suited to Mordancage than to more traditional work. There is emulsion on both sides of the film, but no Anti-halation layer, so it's a struggle to obtain sharpness.. I was mentioning to someone yesterday that when wet, the emulsion is soft as jello, and scratches very easy. I AM zeroing in on results, though and may have something better to show soon. Thanks again.
So because there's emulsion on both sides you can't rotary process it... I was thinking to myself that rotary processing might be the ticket here. Looks like way increased development around the edges as well. Oh well, have fun with it, and keep experimenting.
I'm thinking that lower dilution/longer development times might smooth out the development at the edges. I'm using a Combiplan tank, which is slow work anyway, so that sounds like a good next step.
Thanks for the chuckle, Dan. Heroics indeed. I'm going to return to the scene of the crime tonight if the weather holds and see if I can tweak my development to get better results.
