I am not familiar with the printing technique you've described, but the image has a very ethereal mood. Is that why? Of course, the composition and light are perfect, too. How did you manage to balance the exposure to include such a wide dynamic range?
The orange filter on camera has darkened the (blue) sky, aswell as some burning in at the printing stage. The soft look is from a cokin diffuser held under the enlarger lens.
As one who has tried a B&W sunset at Tenby and failed, I appreciate the skills of someone who has succeeded. In my opinion they are not easy and colour has a head start here but B&W is great when it succeeds as here.
