Sunrise, Sunrise Point, Bryce Canyon

Very fine image. The tree in the lower right corner works very well, as it activates that are in the photograph and draws your eye into that corner and around the whole image. Well composed.

Wow! Nice color rendition. Gotta love that velvia.

I just passed by Bryce last week. Didn't get a chance to stop by.

I will have to try it on a sunrise next time.

Thanks for the very kind words. I took this image on this beautiful morning as the sunrise came from the left across from the mountains in the distance. The image was taken from Sunrise Point facing the Sunset Point overlook which is not visible in the image in this small size. In larger copies of this image, you can see the railing and the onlookers one of whom is wearing a red hat as I recall. It had snowed the day before, but all that was left of the snow can be seen at the far left in the shadow near the bass of the amphitheater wall. Thor's Hammer and other well known Hoo Doos can be seen from the backside in this image. Rich

Thanks very much for the very kind words. Yes there was beautiful light that morning visible on the rock and soil as well as in the sky and on the clouds. As you mention, there is just a slight touch of pink visible in the sky and clouds. Rich

Thanks for the very kind words. Yes, you are quite right, I do need to get back out to Utah and to Colorado for that matter as well. It is a very beautiful state; I really enjoyed myself and I was very fortunate to have taken so many beautiful images when I was there. Rich
