Very nice indeed. The texture is almost edible, and I love the way the light hits just near the sharpest part.
 
Excellent and moody shot. Love the textures and the air of mystery that the blurred background creates. Tremendous tones across the whole of the photo.

Hunstanton? I know it well (I live not too far away in north Essex). I've had a few happy days shooting rock strata and boulders there and it's the only place on the east coast where you can shoot a sunset over the sea, facing west!
 
Thank you all for your comments, I had been reading around the issue of human eye depth of field being so narrow and the fact that our brain merges many images to create an image in our mind. I decided to go with the narrow depth of field to see how it would work as a photographic concept, does it concentrate the viewer yet create the urge to look deeper into the image looking to complete the whole of the scene. I think this one does.
 
Yes your image has achieved what you intended.
It is actually a bit frustrating to look at for a length of time as my eyes keep trying to adjust and make the horizon sharp.
