On a Sunday morning walk in downtown Columbus. I had seen the church steeple against the new building, and I wanted to photograph it for years. I finally found a good angle (it was easier than I thought), so I shot. I like the contrast between the steeple and the newer building.
'Looked a number of times. Its a theme I've tried & can't seem to make work. I like the alignment of the spires here with the verticals of the office bldg. 'Looks like a gorgeous old church - makes me want to see/shoot inside and see a night exposure of the stained glass.
About 14 mo. ago, I shot Portland First Pres inside. 'Most beautiful carpenter gothic architecture I've seen. 14 species of *carved* wood. I've been working w/ Acros to see if I could use it in the future, but haven't been satisfied w/ tones I get. The shots of PFP are in p.10 of my gallery. 'Still want to go back & shoot more there.
