Hand colored Bromoil Transfer
Your stuff is amazing. This looks more like a painting than a photograph. I'd love to see a straight photo for comparison.

Please keep posting your work. I love it.

I agree with Matt. Creativity is an understatement. Great stuff, Gene.

This is fabulous, Gene. The detail in your hand coloring is exquisite! I like the added touch of the self-portrait in there, too.

Simply stunning as is all your work. I love bromoils and will try it once I find some time.
This has a great 1920's feel to it, also like your other Daliesque barracuda shot, keep them coming.

I don't get it. There may be a photograph under this painting but this isn't a photograph anymore, in my opinion.

BTW, Jstraw, your comments remind me somewhat of those late 30's - early 40's debates between the F/64 devotees and the pictorialists - or between Ansel and Mortensen. Deja vu all over again! :>)

It all boils down to "different strokes for different folks" or "many roads lead to Rome."

Cheers,

Gene

Just plain neat. I like the reflection the best.

Is there no amount of coloring on top of a photograph that constitutes a condition where the photograph is no longer visible?
