Summer's end

Taken last Saturday on an unseasonably warm day, this is the Wallace Bandstand and cricket pitch on the links at Nairn in North Scotland. It was busier than it looks! The other event for me here was that this was shot on my newly acquired Leica M3 (1964) and collapsible Elmar 50/f2.8 (1958). To those who replied to my Lounge thread about their understanding of the term "user", it is indeed cosmetically challenged but appears to work just fine. Thanks for giving me the confidence to buy!

This is an excellent photograph. You could, perhaps, punch it up a bit in contrast and 'energy', but if you never do, it's still just fine. Besides being well designed, it has an aura of nostalgia that is a real pleasure to experience. If you know a painter....let 'em have a go with this one....
