Oh, I quite like this! The tonality is almost like an etching, and smooth. Much detail in the darker tones, which you've avoided the temptation to take to full black. And the image gives the impression of wind without being blurry -- high shutter speed? Again, very nice. (And what does the "+9" after ilfosol 3 mean?)
@Trask
Thanks for the comments.
The +9 is the mix rate I used for the ilfosol.
I developed it in ilfosol for this look. Its great on midtones and gives a nice soft look without losing sharpness and detail.
It doesnt work with everything and can be mushy. D76 would of been more safer, but thers no fun in that.
The 'something' about this stymies me. I do not know WHY I like it so much, but a clue was given by Trask when he called this an 'etching'. I find it hard to believe that it was Ilfosol, and ONLY Ilfosol at work here. - David Lyga
@HiHoSilver
Thanks mr Silver. Think I might get this one printed, it's one of only 3 landscapes I have done so far that I'm happy with. One for every 50 rolls of film.....can only improve.
