Stupid is subjective, man . . .can't remember what I was up to in 1983, but probably not much better. About the double exposure: you shot one frame with the kids and another stopped down for the train lights? This is interesting. And these kids probably have their own kids now, they would get a kick out of this.
 
They're actually two of my oldest friends; we were all 15 at the time. George WAS standing on the tracks and Tony WAS sitting on the edge of the platform, but that's as serious as it got. The camera was on a tripod and the second exposure was of the train entering the station.
 
Great job fooling everybody!
 
How you did it is rather irrelevant. But what you did is make a picture have emotion and drama. Great diagonal. The safety of the white area and the danger of the black area. It's really a very good picture. And actually your desire to give away the story degrades the picture not enhances it.
