I respectfully disagree, the person on top creates a dynamic that's absent when cropped out. My eye sees the walking man and then is forced to follow up the crosswalk lines to the legs, across the diagonal lines, down the two cropped lines and back to the walking man. Without the "legs", concentration is mostly on the walking man.
