Strike A Pose

Looks like you shot the sheriff and missed the horse, or is he the one running away in the back? Oh no, I see, that's the deputy!

Very observant Ralph, I didn't see the person in the back. I was more interested in noting the dark fence posts, in what looks like a normal horse paddock.

Most horse paddocks down here have white painted timber and also run white painted timber along the top, the idea being that in the night when the horse(s) become spooked, they don't run blindly into a fence and injure themselves.

Great portrait of an attentive subject, if the background was a bit less cluttered around the horses head, I think it would be a real winner.

I agree I wish he/she had been in an area where I could have had better background. I just stopped on the side of the road and stepped up to the fence and snapped off a few frames. The shutter click actually spooked the hourse but he was curious and came back for this shot...
