A friends daughter was heading off to college and she and her mother wanted something a bit different. Not sure I accomplished that unless a soft portrait was what they were after but it was a fun day nonetheless.

My pours on the big ambrotypes obviously still needs some work but I'm starting to get it.

This is about the 10th 20 x 24 plate I have poured. Much to learn.

Dark and moody...and full of emotion in it's own way. Her body language and the white dress seem a contradiction with the dark feeling you obtained with the ambrotype - much like the change she will experience leaving home and heading into a new life phase...I like it.

When are you going to make it back down here Monty? Would love to watch you work with the big gun...

20x24 ambro's? Are you a body builder AND genius?
I have to see these live. This is spectacular

Ran across this again..a 20x24 ambro..what a gift.
