I actually like it better with the far shore cropped out, it simplifies the composition to a more powerful form.

This is far better than the number of views would suggest. I think keeping the far shore brings the eye deeper into the image and fulfills the direction of the leading lines formed by the snaking of the banks. A really nice piece of photography!

I like the far shore also. Nice, very nice.
