Stormy View - Yosemite

Clouds from a spring storm cling to the valley. It's the first time I've ever seen Tunnel View in daylight without a crowd. Every once in a while, somebody would pull up in their car, stick their dslr out the window click a snapshot and drive away. I shot for at least an hour, trying to balance holding the umbrella... while operating the 4x5. Amazing experience for me...

Wow, wow and double wow! This is one of the most amazing mood captures of Yosemite I have ever seen. Stunning.

This is outstanding again. I was there last year for four days and barely got high level clouds. It took me 45 years to get there and I didn't care what the weather was going to be like. But ut would have been great if it was like that.
again great set of photos

Your hard work paid off really well, to my eyes.

Congrats, well worth braving the wheather.

Thanks for sharing

beautiful shot. i had to laugh as i like to shoot in the rain also, i was thinking of a big umbrella strapped to my back for hands free photography...what do ya think??

Gorgeous! Such beautiful subtleties; the subdued tonality is perfect. Wow.

This is different, not like the typical images you see of Yosemite but I like it a lot.
