John, that's awesome! More ominous looking would be difficult to achieve. The white tops of the waves really makes for a rich tonal scale in this photo. Love it.

I agree with Thomas, John. Your rendition of the clouds is excellent. I really like the few footsteps in the sand, too. They add to the absence of people in the scene, as if they walked out of the frame.

Thanks for the kind words everyone...they are very much appreciated. In answer to the question "what size do you print to?"....I print using 8x10 paper. The actual image dimensions vary depending the film format and cropping choices.
