A bleak, desolate feel to this. I like it a lot.

The leaves on the left all seem to be pointing to the tall stalk still standing in the storm. This is a super image. Very dramatic.

Great shot. Very evocative. I think the 50/50 composition works well here.

Yes, very dramatic though I feel that it could use some more density in the sky, especially on the right.

Most photo competitions such as the ones in Amateur Photographer magazine have at least one section dedicated to themes such as "Weather" or "Storms". I'd save this and enter it. The least you could expect would be a very favourable mention by the judges.

I think Tony has made a very good point. Attention to this could make it a winner.
