I agree - the water colour is amazing, as is the colour in the rest of it. You've used one of my favorite films. Where's Gabo Island? Wilson's Prom?

Gabo is actually on the Vic. - N.S.W. border, nearest town is Mallacoota. The Island lies about 3K's offshore and we occaisionly stay there in the light keepers quarters. It has an amazing pink granite lighthouse that is supposedly the tallest in the southern hemispere. I will post more later.

The color is incredible, almost looks like a oil painting. Very nice.

very inviting. I love the color too but also the mist in the distance.

While I agree with the preceding comments about the exquist, painterly colors of this photo, I find the area of bright highlight in the upper left quite distracting. It creates an unbalanced composition that leads my eye out of the frame-- sadly a fatal flaw, in my humble opinion.

This is in contrast to your lighthouse photo where similar distant highlights are framed by dark land from below and balanced by other highlights in the clouds above.
