I assume this shot was taken recently( TMax film is quite recent) but everything about it( background, dress, hairstyle etc) says 1950s. Is the railway museum and the staff designed to reflect the 1950s?
Looks an interesting place. What exposure was needed? Thanks
Hello pentaxuser, i am not to sure when to be exact, it is through time of Swindon rail works. It is well worth the visit, if you like history and Steam rail, with a little on the end of and the take up of now. The dummy's are dressed in that time but only to give a place in time.
Film was a 400 TX, took at the weekend gone.
Graham
Thanks Graham. I should have looked more closely. I honestly thought that "she" was a real member of staff dressed to look like a 1950s worker, as in the working museums you see such as the Black Country Museum in Dudley.
They must use good dummiesand/or you have caught the right angle and aspect of this scene. Some museum dummies are atrocious. Says "attention to detail" to me which bodes well for the museum experience.
Nice series on British Railways on BBC4. I had a look at last Thursday's offerings. Worth a look if you're a steam transport man.
