First attempt at scanning anything- I've followed this site for many years, but haven't ever been able to contribute. Hopefully, this comes out ok..

Beautiful range! I love this photo.

Welcome to the world of scanning. Looks good and you are off in the right direction. (If you need any guide to scanning, just make sure you are not clipping the low and high values on the histogram and don't over sharpen).

More of your work really deserves to be on this site.

I agree with the others about the range. If this is your first foray into scanning, you did an awesome job. Do you have a way of contact printing it to compare?
The composition is nice, although my personal taste (which is probably not even worth a farving) is that the leafs on the left should be cropped out. They draw my attention away from the beautiful water and the texture of the moss and rocks.

Thank you guys for the kind comments, they really mean a lot. I've wanted to devote my time to photography for 5 years now (I'm 24), and just recently have been able to. I'm not sure why I am so passionate about LF photography, as I've never seen a print from one that hasn't been my own. It's strange to photograph and never interact with anyone else who does what you do, so it's really nice to see that you guys liked this image! Thanks again.
