Another from North Wales, about 1/4 mile from Rhossyd Quarry. Very flat weather (thankfully there was cloud in the sky), flat neg, which worked only as a lith print (this is digi photo of the print). I am pleased with the end result, but realise you may think it looks like a couple of piles of stones! Does it work for you or do you?
The stone structures were part of some kind of winch housing for pulling the slate up and down the mountain. They sit all along on at the top of a steep slope, before you decend to where 'Rhosydd Quarry' (see Tom Stanworth) was taken. The strange thing is that they almost command you to walk through them, even though there is of course no need to gain access to below. They have a real presence. I love the place....
