Intriguing. Looks like a bank in the middle of nowhere. I can see everything I need to in the shot and agree with jovo's sentiments. I probably could see all I needed to from the same distance that it was taken and yet if I were there something would compel me to go and stand inside the walls and absorb its "feel"Dereliction draws me

Lovely image, and so frustrating when you can't get in close. The powerlines kind of work here though, intriguing place.

It is frustrating, especially when I drove all the way from Vancouver, Canada!! I suppose it's for our own safety, as it really doesn't look safe. The day before I photographed all around the bank, even sticking my 8x10 over the wire fence. On the day I took the above photo, I was down at the jail exposing some 8x10 IR film. Walking back to the car, I saw this. Glad I brought along the medium format camera, as I had already packed up the 8x10 and only had a few minutes before the sun was off the building.

This is a neat take of this old "Cook" bank building in Rhyolite, NV. I like the light hitting this concrete structure here. As far as the fence, I've not been there in several years now, but recall it being in place the last time I was there. Looking back I do actually have a few takes of this right at the base of the building. It must have been eons back now before they hung the fence. In fact, in the closeup I have one can see the top most bricks waiting for a small temblor to topple one. I might try to post that image later for close in detail.
