Good for you. Keep em coming but fix those leaks first. They will only cause frustration. Now move your camera closer to the subject cuz I think you have a good idea here with this barn and the tree next to it.

Agree with mark, pick up a couple of "NEW" film holders, they are not that expensive for 4x5 and considering the amount of film that you will save (meaning no light leak) you will actually save some money and furstration. In the mean time, search the threads for how to repair a leaking film holder. Good job by the way..but beware, 4x5 starts to look like a small format after a while.

Your light leak is most probable from the fabric hinge. To cure the problem get a tube of 'Black Witch Neoprene Adhesive' or similar, and coat the fabric, it really works fine and will last almost forever!
Keep at it.

Thanks for the comments guys. As far as the light leaks, I am not going to discount my own handling. I was quite klutzy with these.

However, I was totally psyched out there at 8am taking pictures of the old barn while my coworkers drove by. Even though they came out bad (like the two where I forgot to remove the yellow filter when I switched from B&W), it was a blast. I haven't gotten that thrill from miniature format in a while.

I do agree that 4x5 is already looking small (after nearly 1 year). It's too big for me to enlarge, and small-ish on the contact prints....maybe that's why I have been lurking the auctions for an 8x10!
