Somebody listens to FPP! Nice shot, and it works well with the gimmick.

Bob has been known to make impressive darkroom prints from these. Will we see one from this one Bob?
:whistling:

Nicely done! Works with the technique and the subject matter really well, I think.

@PhotoBob The "gimmick" is using 35mm film in a medium format camera. The "gimmick" is exposing the exposing the full width with the frame numbers and sprocket holes and all that. The Film Photography Podcast (FPP) always publicizes new products like this. These adapters are available for a variety of MF cameras. Looking past the "gimmick", this is a good shot.

Same note to Eric Rose.

@mfohl This is no more a gimmick than cropping a negative to get the composition you want. Bob made an artist decision. I see no gimmickry here. I see the work of an accomplished artist using his gear to make an artist statement.

Maybe this image of yours is "gimmicky" because you included the rebate. https://www.photrio.com/forum/media/sharon-woods-tree-fall.58704/

@mfohl Having been blessed to survive cancer sans one kidney, each day, each moment with loved ones and friends is precious. Photography has been a part of me as well since I was pretty near knee-high to a grasshopper, from composition to exposure to processing and finally, printing/toning/mounting finished gelatin-silver fibre archival prints. Along with this, I am very fortunate to be able to try new ways of photographic expression such as tin-type, cyanotype, colour & black & white infrared, processing my own E6, working with films I've barely heard of and working with pinhole cameras. I'm always looking for new ways to express my photographic vision ... to experiment and to try new things that (if things had gone the other way) I would not have had the opportunity to do. I'm just glad I can put film in my cameras and grateful I am still here and can get up in the morning and see what I can see, smell the forest, hear the roaring waters, and listen to the shutter open and close on my camera. My motto is Follow the LIGHT ... and that is what I plan to do the best I can with what time He has given me - I'll follow Him and the light He offers.
