I had an issue with reduced sized photos looking unsharp. Eric Rose kindly gave me some advice but I don't know where the link is now. Basically you may need to sharpen the image after it has been reduced in size. I use Photoshop Elements and it is under "adjust sharpness". Nice photo!
@PhotoBob Yes I only have Elements and you can do it with that.
@Eric Rose I think that would be really useful so that members can show their photographs as well as possible. Ideally a tip would be shown on the uploading page for the gallery. I was becoming very frustrated by comments that my photos weren’t sharp when I knew the prints were. I am not very tech savvy and did not understand how reducing the resolution can also make a photo look unsharp. I think it is important to point out that this is not “cheating”. It is not a way to take an out of focus picture and somehow magically improve it. This is just a way of correcting for the blur that occurs when an image is reduce in pixels from the original scanned dimensions. Stephen
