It is nog a parody in my vision just a portrait made of a statue. but how do you intrepret a popular portrait style? would be interesting to know.
Hi ljsbeer, the coment concerning being a parody should have had a ? at the end of the sentence,,,I was inquiring..recently I have noticed more use of "negative" space and placing subjects on the far lateral aspects of the portrait...It's not a new tech but seems I've seen it more of late...I like the way it creates tension in the photograph....your image benifits from this because it almost seems as though the statue is humanized and is walking past the viewer with a slight gaze at the observer...again imaginative...I like it...
