Statue of Liberty

Statue of Liberty

I put a high grade that sharpens the differences between black and white. I reckon it adds some "relief" as well. I burnt the left side on Photoshop as it was to white

From where the sun seems to be positioned, a shot more to her left would have backlit the statue more, avoiding the burn out (Who am I to talk...I burn out or under expose entire rolls!) Then your saddled with exposing the shadow areas properly. You've just given me a couple of ideas for my next visit to the lady.

I also can't help fight the feeling that I'm looking up her skirt/robes and that I should look away. I know, I know...its a statue...but...

It is kinda cool, though, that her face is hidden by her torso.

good point about the sun. i have to fly from London there to shot it again then?

Kind of like me shooting St. James and listening to you tell me about better angles. Point taken. Maybe I'll try the shot and send it to you...but that wouldn't be fun. No, you'll just have to come back and shoot another five or six rolls.
